Hello,
I am testing buffering an asp page and Flushing information out to the
browser, hence i wrote the code in an asp page that follows this Message
Post.
The loops are suppose to simulate long search processes with a flush after
each search.
When i Navigate to the page, redirect to it from another page, or type the
URL to this page in the browser, the page is buffered until it reaches the
end of the file and is then displayed all at...

Experimenting with response.flush() but can't seem to get it to work. This
code
<%
response.write "<p>started</p>"
response.flush()
for i = 1 to 10000000
i = i +1
next
response.write "<p>ended</p>"
%>

Hi,
I have an asp page that does a lot of processing and reports it's
finished by printing the word "Success". For example:
<% SomeFunction(SomeVar)
SomeFunction(SomeVar1)
SomeFunction(SomeVar3)

Guys,
I need to send some info to my client while I'm processing some stuff. The flow will be something like :
-process
-response
-process
-response
....
I imagine to use response.flush (as I did on ASP) but it does not work. See my test code, after sending 2 lines on response, I'm simulating a processing time before sending other 2 lines.

The standard method to transmit a file from an aspx page to a browser
is to stream the file to the response then end the response. The HTML
code generated by the aspx page is discarded, and the browser displays
or offers to save the binary file instead.
I would like to have the browser accept and display the revised HTML
code as well as offering to open or save the attached file. This
SHOULD be possible using a multipart MIME format -...

Hey all. Been looking into this for a while now, got some mock ups and
whatnot. All works well (as far as the server "streaming" the data, via
a sleep and flush method right now just for functionality. Only Ajax
doesnt seem to appreciate it. Still caches the buffer and dumps it out
at once. I was wondering if you guys had any insights on this.
Here is the code.
header("Content-type:
multipart/x-mixed-replace;boundary=endofsection");

I have a big asp file that has an error under certain conditions -- totally
repeatable. However, it only fails when I set response.buffer = True at the
top. WHen I set it False in order to debug it, it works every time! I even
set it to True, but did a .Flush just before the error, and the error won't
happen.
It only happens when response.buffer is True and no .response.flush is issued.
The error is a string variable turns-up empty...

Hello !
We have the following situation - when Ajax request is sent what's
being returned by the server is usually an XML (which is used for DOM
updates) but sometimes it's HTML which is a whole new page that should
replace an existing one. I.e when we issue an Ajax request we don't
know what will be returned and analyze the response to act accordingly.
Now, the way to replace the current document with a new one used to be
easy and...

My environment is ASP.NET 2.0, C# and AJAX.
I'm having a problem with 'Button Click' logic which is trying to
display a Gridview and
then use XML/XSLT to build an Excel file. The following code does not
display the Gridview but opens the created file in Excel. If I comment
out the ExportDatasetToExcel routine the Gridview displays correctly.
I'm assuming the problem is something to do with the Response
methods.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
