Hello,
I'm looking for an example of doing a page with pulldown menus, where
the user selects a choice from the first pulldown, then based on that
input, another appears, then the user selects from that one, and based
on that input, yet another appears, etc...
Thanks,
Mike 2 1620 http://www.aspfaq.com/show.asp?id=2270

you have two options.
1) pull ALL values to the clientside and filter them with clientside code
2) post back to the server with each ddl selection to retrieve the available
options for the second.
Which way are you talking about?

Are there any good places to look for asp.net modules for select
pulldowns? There is a select pulldown on a site i do partial
development on http://www.computergroupplays.com/fb-pres4.asp that has
a 2 dimensional select pulldown, where the third input box gets filled
with the items that match what a user selects in the 2nd pulldown. I
want to find a web control module, or perhaps a good tutorial , that
can do this.
Mucho thanks for any...

I have made a form at http://www.lcuk.org/cleanair/form.htm
In the Financial Information section there is a question "How do you
wish to pay?"
If the user selects "invoice" then when the user hits submit I want
the form simply to call a formmail.cgi script and email the contents
to me.
However if the user selects "credit card" then I need to pass the form

I am making a combobox, where I add items to the combobox as they are
required, as the user scrolls to the top or bottom of the list of items. It
is a sorted combobox. Scrolling down works fine, but when they scroll up, the
positioning gets confused. If the ComboBox contains record 60-79, and they
pressed Up on 60, I trap the keypress and add records 40-59. I set the
SelectedItem to 59, and the SelectedIndex to its index, and the textbox...

i want to set up my aspx page with a hierarchical navigation system. first
the user has to select to "-- Select An Action --", which could be either
"Add Item" or "Edit Item". If the user selects "Edit Item", i show a list of
items they can select. once selected, i show the input form, which has all
the item details. conversely, if the user selects "Add Items", i skip
showing the "Select Item" drop down and go straight to showing the item...

I have a long operation I want to run when my page first appears, so I
put it in Page_Load().
However the browser doesn't draw the contents of the page until after
Page_Load() is complete, though I wish it would.
Am I putting my operation in the wrong place? Where do I put a process
that I want run immediately after the page is first completely shown?
thanks much

ok - i have a list box that is a pull down that is populated by a stored
procedure - so it has data in it already.
when a user types in Tr - the pulldown automatically goes to the section
with Tr - but it isn't displayed until the user hits the down arrow to see
the selections..
how do i automatically show the contents of the pulldown as the user types?

Hi,
Is there good information about the asp.net page lifecycle in
combination with dynamically loaded controls? Or on "how to build
dynamic controls"? I keep hitting problems where values are not
available at the moment I need them.
Current problem:
In a dynamically loaded ascx there is a dropdown. Based on the selected

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
