OT - Email autoresponders

A client of mine uses ProAutoresponde r for sending
sequential emails. Lately, ProAutoresponde r has been
blacklisted or tagged as SPAM by just about everyone
(Hotmail doesn't even get the message???!!! -
Earthlink auto tags as SPAM). Of course, they claim
it is the message content, but when I can send the
exact same message from other services without a
problem....

Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions to other services.
The ones out there (Aweber, GetResponse, etc) look
suspect.

He needs a high quality service - he has a learning
system based on sequential autoresponders that people
pay for and they're not getting what they paid for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brett...

If you're sending out UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email), then yes, you're
spamming. I have no idea what a sequential message is. Perhaps if this
util tags itself in the email header, then it is autoblocked, no matter what
the content.

This forum is for Classic ASP related issues and not 'sequential' messaging
utils. Please post to a related NG which will probably get you a better
response for your issue.

Roland,

As I said, people PAY to receive the emails, so it isn't spam.

Sequential messages are ones that are sent in order based on a delivery
schedule. For example, a college professor could set up a sequential
autoresponder at the beginning of the semester to send reminder messages to
their students the day before each test.

I know this is ASP, I use ASP and I was hoping two things. One, maybe
someone has developed or knows of an ASP based service that can do this.
Second, high level developers generally have a more indepth knowledge and
experience with a variety of things, so I was hoping to get lucky.

Thanks to those of you who responded off the list to me.

Our php was installed on our server by a consultant who is no longer available. Now, we have just moved our servers to a new location, and the autoresponders we have written in PHP no longer work. I'm assuming there is somewhere in the setup that holds the ip for the email server. Since we have a new mail server, we need to change that setting. Can someone please direct me to where that is? We're running this on an OS 10 server.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to use Php to automate confirmation of someone joining an email list by them replying to an email (so they don't have to have a browser?). I will probably use a hyperlink with a unique ID, but I also want to know how to go about reading from a mailbox with Php so I can use an email reply method, too. I'm having trouble finding any kind of tutorial. From the bit of searching I've done,...

So here's my problem.....I need to set up different email distributions based on which option in the following Select form has been chosen....For instance if "Putaway" is chosen it needs to email User1@here.whatever and User4@here.whatever but if "Loaded" is chosen it needs to email User2@here.whatever and User3@here.whatever, etc, etc... THE GOAL: I need to send an email with a simple ASCII text body and an attached HTML file. I have scripts that send basic emails via the smtplib module that don't have any attachements and that seems to work fine. I first looked at the mimetools modules but it says it is depreceated since 2.3, so I started trying to use the email module. Here is a script that basically follows the second example given in section 7.1.13 of the Python...

Hello, user@x.com receives an email from user@a.com. I want to forward that email to user@y.com. I want the contents/header to remain intact, with the exception of adding "X-Forwarded-For". In other words, when user@y.com received the email, it will be from user@a.com, but will contain a reference that it was forwarded by user@x.com. I'm piping all email destined for user@x.com to a php script. I've seen some very complicated...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
