I was wondering if someone could explain why I'm receiving this error. It's
like a 404 error but I think it might be something else.
Basically, I have a page where a user inputs his email address. The system
is supposed to look up the email address and send the associated password to
that email address. It worked up until a few months ago. Note that the
validation works. So, if the user tries to submit a blank text box, it
returns...

Hi
How i made the same effect in xHTML like the - target="_blank" - Tag
in HTML 4.01?
I will use it with xHTML and CSS ... but the validator say's to me,
that this tag wasn't valid for xHTML! ... Why? Is there no "same
effect"-Tag in xHTML?
Thx for answers!

It seems that Microsoft not only does not need the classic Visual Basic
developer army (the largest army of developers the world has ever seen), but
now they don't need ANY Windows developer at a small or mid-sized business.

I have a .NET application with an installer. The customer wants the install
page with the "Everyone" or "Just Me" selection to default to "Everyone".
Presently it defaults to "Just Me". Any hints on how I can achieve this?

I created an MSI install for a Windows app I wrote. When installing,
however, it defaults to install for "Just Me" instead of "Eveveryone"
(meaning anyone who uses this computer). I would like the default
deslection to be the latter. How can I change this, please?
Thanks!

Yay!!! They fixed this for VS2005. You can now set the default
installation to be "Everyone" instead of "Just Me" and you can control
whether you even want those radio button installed in your Setup
program.

Hi, I am trying to create a page so the user can browse the network,
select a file and have that file name (text) inserted into our sql DB
so I can build the hyperlink path later on.
Here's what seems to be the problem. These are video files and are
enormous with long crazy names so trying to hand type the file name in
a text box is not an option. So I'm using an Input "file" control so
when the user browses out onto the network...

Hello,
I've been running my scripts through Douglas Crockford's JSLint. I
notice that it keeps complaining when I do this:
if (da != null) {
it says "Use !== to compare with null".
It does the same for comparison with undefined.

While reading c.l.j, I've noticed that some people prefer and indeed even
recommend the use of "window.alert()" over "alert()".
I can't find any technical reason to make this distinction, and seems to
have a (tiny) amount overhead since window itself points to the global
object, hence, a circular reference.
(From everything I am reading, window is just a REFERENCE back to the
global object, as opposed to a separate object.)

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
