Server Side Code From Javascript?

Is it possible to run a Server Side function from JavaScript? I have a
dropdown list that executes some javascript in the onChange event, but I
need it to query a database after it does so.

Thanks,
James

Heh, actually, I don't think that was the very first article, but it was
certainly among them. When I renumbered them a few years ago, they were
arbitrarily assigned numbers starting at 2001. At the time, I think there
were about 100.

I would like to generate non-modal popup windows from ASP.Net code-behind. I have tried using Client Side scripting like "function Test(){ window.open('test.htm',_blank, 'height=200,width=400,status=no,toolbar=no, menubar=no,location=no resizable=no scrollable=no'); but I can't seem to invoke the client side script from within a Server Side Form. I know I can use the context with to Response.redirect or Server.transfer to return a

I want to know if ASP.NET Web Forms Validation Controls are Server-Side or Client-Side form validation? Since I think each validator control can select either 1) JavaScript based error dialog or 2) show the error message next to the control. For example, if the text field is empty with RequiredField Validator control, it can show the value in ControlToValidate property in two ways as I mentioned. Please advise. Thanks!

Suppose I have a hyperlink that, when clicked, executes a JavaScript function on the client. Separately I have a button that, when clicked, causes a post back and executes a server-side function, as in the following: <a id="HyperLink5" href="javascript:DoSomethingInClient()">Do Something</a> <asp:Button id="btnSaveChanges" EnableViewState="true" CommandName="SaveChanges" Visible="true" Width="115" runat="server" Text="Save...

Hi Everyone, I work for a financial company. I am planning to give a presentation to rest of the development team (15 people) here on moving server side logic to client-side javascript for an internal intranet application rewrite. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
