There are few asp files which are residing on this non-
default website created by our application folks, and it
is not working.
Server Details

URLSCAN is installed
C2 Security Settings implemented on the server.
Please, let me know what could be wrong! 3 2831 http://www.aspfaq.com/2109

Thanks Aaron, The same step what I thought and I did apply
the permissions to ODBC setting in the HKLM registry
settings, and have to reboot the server for this to take
effect!
Which I have not done it yet! thanks again! -----Original Message----- http://www.aspfaq.com/2109

Why are you using ODBC!? Stop using it, it has been deprecated. See http://www.aspfaq.com/2126 for more efficient methods to connect to your
database...

HTTP 500 - Internal server error ASP pages
I am running Windows 2K with IIS 5.1 and I started having problems

2000 Hotfix KB824146. I also started getting DCOM errors in the
Server System log just after the reboot. When anyone goes to open an
ASP based page they get :
HTTP 500 - Internal server error
We are just using ASP and not .NET. All other webserver...

Don't try to solve the problem. I've found a way -- around or fixing it. I'm
just curious as to whether this is Microsoft's problem in their compiler or
if there's a standard saying this is to be true (not necessarily an internal
compiler error, but still an error)
This may just a bit OT, but I decided to post it here instead of Microsoft
because my question is more directed towards standards...
Of course, any other day I would have...

I have tried everything...aspreg -i and modifying machine.config and
running the fileupdate...deleting and reinstalling framework 1.1...
It only happens when I do a 'Copy Project' to the webserver...it loads
into vs.net and runs locally just fine...
Any help is appreciated...I'd like to get rid of this forever...I had
this problem on a previous computer at another company last summer and
never did figure out the answer.
Thanks,

I have been working with ASP.NET 1.1 for quite a while now. For some
reason, opening some ASP.NET applications we wrote is producing the
following error message:
"The Web server reported the following error when attempting to create or
open the Web project located at the following URL:
'http://localhost/WebApplication1'. 'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error'."

Hi,
Some of my webservice peers return SOAP faults using a
"HTTP 200 OK" reply and others use a
"HTTP 500 Internal Server Error" instead. I was wondering
if there is some kind of standard for SOAP over HTTP
(or, more specifically where I can find such a beast)
that regulates these things?
And, which one is correct? Using HTTP 200 OK or

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
