Visual Source Safe and Dreamweaver

I've finally got a helper, so I set up VSS. My Interdev works fine, but he
can't seem to use dreamweaver. The files open ok, and they save to VSS, but
don't show up on the site.

Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks

If you use Interdev with a staging server, i.e. not your local workstation,
you can run in either Master mode or Local mode. The former updates pages on
the server immediately when you save, the latter only when you check in.
Perhaps Dreamweaver has an option that controls this same sort of
behaviour??

Have you considered asking in a dreamweaver forum?

dear dreamweavers, we use Dreamweaver MX 6.1 and have following "BIG" problem. I create a new file with dreamweaver and check it in into VSS. Another user creates a file with the same name, same folder on his computer an check it into VSS too. VSS or dreamweaver overrides my file with the file of the second user!!! that means that in the VSS history of the file there are 2 versions!

This is driving me to insanity!!! I do not have a lot of experience with IIS which probably is not helping but as far as I can tell I am do things as per the MSDN documentation. I have a solution in Source Safe that I want to add some web service projects to. I create a folder under my solution folder for the new web service project. I create a virtual directory using IIS and accept the default settings for security etc.

Using Visual Studio 2005, I created a new website: File->New->Web Site and chose the ASP.Net Web Site template. Saved it in location c:\Projects\GCSLRMS_DotNet\WS\WebSite1. It created the solution file: C:\Documents and Settings\clintb.GCSSOFTWARE\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\WebSite1\WebSite1.sln I didn't want it there. I wanted it the same folder as all the other

Anyone know of any compatibility issues between DW and Visual Studio? I've been told me that editing in DW (I'm using CS3 on one computer and 8 on another) can cause compilation errors because of some invisible data that DW inserts. I'd like to use DW for minor updates as I get more familiar with VS. Am I safe to do that? Thanks, Mickey

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
