Yes, disabled controls are not sent when form is submitted.. the
solution is use a hidden field with disabled control. use hidden field's
value and its name when getting data in ASP and show disabled control
only...

I have been researching the "disabled" property for form data and wanted to know: - Does the disabled property supress the form item from being submitted? - Can the disabled property be applied when the submit button is pressed? I am designing a PayPal order page that will have 4 items, each with a 3-character text box where the customer will enter quantity. The default value will be "0." I want to be able to test whether the

Hello everybody, I have some code that disables form elements on body load, but I notice when I hit the "back" button, I need to re-enable the form elements (that is done by clicking on a radial button). Is there any way I can keep the form for disabling every time a user hits the back button and "remember" what elements should be enabled? I was thinking maybe utilizing some referrer thing, but I'm not that good with JS yet. Thanks...

Hi All, I have a question. If javascript is disabled how asp.net determines which control has caused the post back. As we know that when we clicks on the button the buttons name goes with posted data, so asp.net can detrmine which btn caused the post back. In case of dropdown lists(if auto post back is true) _doPostback javascript function is called which assigns the name of the control in _EVENTTARGET hidden variable, by this ASP.NET...

I'm not real experienced with asp.net so this may be obvious. I've got a situation where some of my client side javascript is causing my posted form's controls to lose their values. In other words, I have a server control TextBox, I enter some text, my client side scripts do some stuff and in the Page_Load method after submitting the form the value for my TextBox is empty. If the javascipt doesn't run, the values are fine. I've looked...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
