I have an ASP program that uses session variable to keep
data between pages. The program worked fine under IIS 5,
but with IIS 6 these variables randomly disappear. Note,
the problem seemed to start when Windows Share Point was
installed on this server. Any ideas why this might
happen?
Thanks,

Hi,
Using IIS 5.0 and sometime some asp pages (absolutely
randomly) showing as blank white pages. So far only one
way of fixing it - restart whole server. Restarting IIS,
or specific web server not helping, only whole server.
I enable server side and client side debugging, but no
errors showing up...

Hi All,
I recently discovered that my session cookies on the web host disappear
within 30 seconds.
I created some very simple asp scripts (it took me a while until I
discovered why my shopping cart acts very weird...) to check the session
cookies.
On one asp page I set up cookies:

Has anyone had a problem with the VS.NET 2003 IDE web form designer where
the designer components at the bottom of the design view just disappear and
at the same time, you lose all the initialize component code that is web
form designer generated as well? This keeps happening randomly and its
driving me insane.. its a pain in the a** to have this happen over and over.
I am not wanting to manually recreate all the code nor do I have a clue...

If you can help me, I'd be grateful. Long story short... I am looking
for cut/paste html code (that even a dummy like me can't screw up).
Here is what I want:
I want a web page to display ten (10) different text ads and/or banner
ads on the page. However, I want the page to change the order of the
ten different ads each time it is displayed. It can either randomly
select the order OR rotate the order of the ads so that everybody gets...

In the asp.net application I develop, we need to provide the marketing
department with the ability to insert small JavaScript code snippets
into predefined content areas on several pages. This code is supplied
from 3rd parties and may display banners, links and do various other
things. So far so good.
What I need is to track the clicks for each such banner in a generic
way. That is, whatever JS provided has to run inside some control (or...

I am working with javascript...where I have cycling banners at the top, 3 of them and I need to make two of them clickable to a website that I assign to the two. bannerad2 for www.bigmtn.com and bannerad3 for www.bridgerbowl.com Not sure how to get this to work right, have tried some things and it usually ends up making duplicate banners above the original, which I don't want. Here is some of the code for now:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
