Hello everybody, I have some code that disables form elements on body load, but I notice when I hit the "back" button, I need to re-enable the form elements (that is done by clicking on a radial button). Is there any way I can keep the form for disabling every time a user hits the back button and "remember" what elements should be enabled?...

I'm trying to write a piece of code that will programatically save a record automatically without me having to add a new ' Row.Item("ADD1") = txtAdd1.Text.Trim.ToUpper ' type command each time I add a new textbox. I've named all my textboxes in the following format txtAdd1 and I've named all my field in the SQL table the same way minus the...

First time I've seen this and I'm not even sure where to look for the answer. An ASP page with only this code: <% Response.Write "User: " & Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER") %> On most systems returns the domain\userID for the user on the workstation, as expected. But I have one workstation (at least) where this returns the...

I just moved my website from a Win2000 server to a Win2003 server. On the old server, we would prompt for the user name and password via the WWW-Authenticate header, retrieve the Base64 values provided by the user from Request("HTTP_AUTHORIZATION"), decode them, and validate the user against our database. However, after moving to Win2003...

I have a child form that inherits a parent form. There are buttons on the parent form: protected Button continueButton; protected Button pauseButton; protected Button retryButton; Since the child form should inherit the buttons from the parent form, there is no need to redefine them in the child form.

Ok, extremely wierd situation here: (I'll post the code below, after the explanation) I've got a Windows application (.NET 3.5) that has a single Form with a DataGridView embedded. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
