Hi all,
I've been eluded the last couple of *days* on the onload mystery within
the frame and function context.
Problem is as follows:
- frameset with two frames. One called scripts and the other called main
- scripts carries a bunch of js functions rechable via
parent.scripts.functioName()
- Main carries the html page that utilizes some functions

I am working with 2 frames, Left and Right and the main code is in the
left frame, which has been attached.
Can someone please help me with this code. I am new to JavaScript and
can't figure it out.
What needs to happen is this:
On the left frame you should have a series of buttons, which when pushed
makes things happen on the right frame.

OK. After much playing around, I managed to get my frame page this
far.. see code below.
BUT...there are still errors with it, and what I would like to have
happened is this:
1) On the Left Frame (File LeftEx8_2.html) a series of buttons, which
when clicked prompt the user to enter information for background
color, text color, link color, title and some text.

but not Netscape.

I'm attempting to code a page that uses frames. I have a particular
activity that I wish to have happen.
The left hand pane is the Table of Contents.
The right hand pane shows data.
For some of the links in the left hand pane I need to change both the
left hand AND right hand panes. I need the TOC to switch to a Sub-TOC
and I need the data frame to show the initial page of the Sub-TOC
group.

"header" which, when I click, should make two different pages to be
loaded and displayed into two different frames, namely "thumbnails"
frame and "main" frame simultaneously.
My framed page is defined as follows:

I am using frames in a site that I am building (I know! But not my choice).
I have the need to be able to get the value from a DropDown List that is in
one frame and read it from another frame. I know there is a way to do this
using client side code, but I'm not sure how. I've never been a javascript
expert. Any code examples or links to such code would be greatly
appreciated!
