Hi,
I am trying to call a function in my web page, asynchronously, to improve
performance. I am using a function delegate to do that. I have a web page.
When the user clicks a button, i want to execute this function
asynchronously and in the meantime move on to other tasks. At the very end,
i call EndInvoke. Problem is if i disrupt this process by closing the
browser Visual Studio "freezes" and won't become active until after some
time....

This is a serious question - but probably one that has been asked many
times before.
Go to http://wehner.org
It has FRAMES.
Select ADDISON. The main page (to the right of the buttons) shows it.
In ADDISON, select WHATIS. The main page switches to WHATIS.

I'm having problems with inconsistent floating point behavior

failed assertions for assertions that at first thought ought
to hold, but that's not important.)
At the end is a full program containing the above seemingly

I need to do the equivalent of 'select all' and 'capture' on a browser
screen. I just want the text as it appears on-screen. Is there a simple
way to automate this?
The thing that may make it a bit awkward is that the browser windows
appear as popup-style windows, with no navigation buttons. That part
may not be so easy to automate.

the HTML file in a browser when an error occurs. It creates the file Ok but

FileStream file = new FileStream(@"C:\errors\error.htm",
System.IO.FileMode.OpenOrCreate);
StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter(file);

How to trap browser close event in SERVER side?
I read a lot of forum message, it talk about onclose(), onunload() and even
onbeforeunload() event. However, all of theses are based on javascript
written on the client browser , like IE. To send a POST to web server to
acknowledge its close event.
However, I just think, web server and client browser is a TCP connection.
And if the client browser is close and it imply the TCP socket is...

Hi,
In my application, I have a web browser control and load up a local
html page. Within the html page, the following code exists. However,
when I click on the button that invokes the 'form action', nothing
happens. I'd like the event to spawn a new browser window. Is there
an event I should be catching?

Hi all,
I am trying to get a way by which I'll know exactly when user goes out
of my site by clicking on close button in browser, So that w/e user
click close button in browser, I can send a signal to server.
This seems to be achievable with body unload events, but it is little
too much, as even if user navigate within my site, this event will be
generated, this can be avoided by handling onclick of each link, so
that I'll know exactly...

How do we get out of the browser infinite loop quicksand when we navigate
to web pages designed to lock us in and force us to hit the "pay me" button
(whatever they want to force you to do)?
These are just a sample of nasty quicksand web pages I've run into which
lock your browser into a loop and won't let you get out until you hit the
"install" or "run" or "OK" button... (whatever it is they want you to do).

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
