I've gotten everything up and running except for this -- I'd like to
be able to have people have a dropdown list of cities in the US to use
(or wherever) and not have to input them manually into a text field.
When you do then there are issues of misspellings, etc.
Now I have a list of cities from each state that is a sample that
works in an html page. Problem is that it takes up 2 MB! Way too much
to load on a single page and I was...

Here is a SIMPLE problem that I'm trying to solve.
It works in Netscape 6.2, but IE6 gives ""No such interface
supported."
Below are page1.htm and page2.htm .
In page1.htm, there are two dropdown lists. If you change the
selection of the left one (e.g. choose parentoption2), it
should open up page2.htm in a popup window.

We have a dropdown combobox, where some of the text is wider than the
textarea.
I cannot set the width of the SELECT any higher due to design
restrictions on the company website.
When clicking the dropdown box, I want the textarea (which unfolds
beneath the dropdown) to expand to the widest element of the options.
I can see that Netscape does this automatically, but how would you do
it in IE?

For an ASp Intranet app, I have some code that should work, but I am not able
to make it happen for some reason, after spending considerable time on this.
I am pretty thick when it comes to javascript; I just don't get the syntax
at all. If
anyone could help, I would appreciate it. I'm probably pretty close. Please
note that because it's an Intranet, all users have to use IE 5 or higher.
Situation:
3 form fields on an ASP. <select>...

Does anyone have any ideas on this please?
I don't know how to evaluate the no-blank selections against each other from
a form as follows: .
I have a form with 6 dropdown fields, each containing a selection of 30
options (the 30 options are the same for each dropdown list).
The user needs to select 'one of the 30 options' from each dropdown
selection, but each option they select must be unique (no duplicate
selections) or it must be...

This is probably simple, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I have have some values stored in javascript variables. I have a
<select> dropdown list whose options correspond to these values. I want
to be able to select an item on the dropdown list based on the value of
the javascript variable.
Let's say this is my list and my variable:
<select id='popup'>

Hello,
I have a dropdown list on a user control and the AutoPostBack property is
set to True. I want to use the SelectedIndexChanged event to populate some
text boxes based on what the user chose in the dropdown list.
However, the SelectedIndexChanged event doesn't fire. In the immediate
window it appears that the index is not changing when I select a different
option in the list.

I was able to set tooltips on objects other than main menu.
I would like to get the effect of tooltip or microhelp in the bottom status
bar when the mouse is hovering over a submenu item.
How do I do that?
For example in outlook express, when one expand a main menu item and holds
mouse over one of the enable sub menu item, one would see some sort
microhelp text in the status bar in the bottom

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
