I''m having a problem with cookies that is driving me insane :).
- If a user comes to http://domain.com and a cookie is set for them, then the user for whatever reason jumps to http://www.domain.com one of the 2 happens:
1) The cookie we set can not be read (expected), but then a new one can not be written ether (I looked at the server headers and although the cookie information is sent, IE ignores it).
2) The cookie from...

(Forgive the dupicate post, I had left out the OS Version out of the prior
post.)
Gentlemen, your urgent help is needed in solving a STRANGE problem.
I have two servers a dev box, and a production box. On the dev box
everything works fine, in production it hoses:
One of the things a user can do is click a "Change region" link which takes
them to a map of the world. They can then select one of four regions.

Hello All
I have an asp page problem (the nature is slightly complex so please bear
with the long winded explanation).
We have a sandbox front end domain and a sandbox backend domain. The front
end communicates with the back end using XML data interchange and URL
variables. THe website has frames - the left frame consisting of the
navigation and the right frame consisting of the displays of information. We
have implemented a search...

I'm doing some trivial surveys, and I want to know if the same user
answers twice. Can't really know that, but at least I thought I could
check for the same browser/computer combination by using a cookie.
Here is the code I have now. In the header, I have the following:
<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
var cookieStatus;
if (document.cookie.length > 0) {
cookieStatus = 'Cookie exists with value ' + document.cookie;
} else {

The purpose of my application is to require a website visitor to complete
a form before participating in a search application. I have a specific
reason for doing this with client-side javascript, but I'm not going to
go into the explanation of "why."
Ideally, the visitor goes to http://www.hopelandinc.com/golf-homes.html.
If they haven't registered in 90 days, they'll be redirected to a
registration form. Once they complete the reg form,...

SUMMARY:
==========
I am unable to pass along a simple Cookie obtained from a HttpWebRequest
call (Machine A's ASP.NET app) so that another Web Server (Machine B)
recongnizes the cookie.
I have performed the exact steps by
entering the URLs into the browser (IE). In this case, everything works.
I have used TcpTrace to monitor the traffic, and have verified that the

After a server created cookie is processed on the client I want it removed,
cleared, or expired in the javascript block but have been unable to do this.
If I set a cookie value in the server code behind and don't use a domain
then I can not change or remove that cookie's value on the client. If I
subsequently create the cookie again in the codebehind then I actually end
up with TWO cookies with the same name in the response. The cookie...

An ASP.NET session cookie set on "www.mydomain.com" can not be accessed on
"search.mydomain.com"; hence, a new session and cookie are being created on
every sub-domain.
This is occuring because ASP.NET always sets the Session cookie domain to
the full domain (e.g. "www.mydomain.com") instead of the parent domain (e.g.
"mydomain.com")
The problem with this is when the visitor goes to a different sub-domain
(e.g. "search.mydomain.com"),...

I have a feature that is hosted on a different domain from the primary one
in a frame, and need to retain values in a cookie.
example: A web page at one.com contains a frame which has a page hosted at
two.com
If I view the frameset from one.com in Firefox, all works well with the
content from two.com. But if trying to view this using IE (with standard
security settings), the cookie set by two.com is not accessible.

Hello all,
I'm still a bit new with JavaScript, and I hope the guru here can shed
some light for me. It's regarding handling cookie and the
case-sensitive nature of JavaScript itself.
My problem is how do I handle the "path" parameter in cookie.
First, the sequence start at
http://www.testServer1.com/TestApp/page1.htm, and a cookie is set at

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
