Setup requirements for Visual studio.net 2003 to run propplerly??

Hi everyone,
Newbie is wondering after he has up graded to Visual studio.net 2003, if
Visual studio.net 2003 requires a different setup??
Most of the test application aren't working anymore.
I get very often error message stating that probably the required components
are not installed on the local web server. Run the Visual Studio.net setup
and add the web development component. ( which I have done)
Still I get this messages??

Any suggestions??

I'd suggest a DotNet newsgroup on these issues.

my application was created in vb.net, vs 2003. the setup project was also created in vs 2003. one of my application reviewers reported this: The .Net link that is included in the setup is not the correct link, it's outdated. The link should be changed from this http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/netdevframework.asp to the new link, which is this:...

I am creating small project comprising of 10 forms. On all of the forms there are basic controls like menus, buttons, lists etc. I am (only) using the system.io namespace for this project. I am saving some data in notepad file. My question is if I just create an .exe of this project and distribute to others (the executable file and notepad file) then would it run on others' machine or do I need to create setup program? Also, in what cases...

I am developing a windows application with Visual Studio 2003 using C#. The application is complete so naturally I went to create a setup package. I added a setup project to the solution and I went through the appropriate steps in attaching the solution dependencies. After completing the setup package, I attempted to install the application on a co-worker's computer. Usually, the installation consist of several screens which directs the...

I want to deploy a service with a windows app and the setup program must conform to the Vista certification requirements. Can that be done with the standard .net setup project? Assuming cost is an issue, what else is available?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
