Decoding HTML entities

How can I decode HTML entities?

I have an HTML tag as below?

<p> Will you help me ? </p>

I need to pick this tag in a variable in ASP, and decode
the ? into it actual value. There can be a lot of
codes like this, so I need a decoding function.

Can anyone help me in this regard? Does ASP provide this
functionality?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Not natively.
Why though... if you are writing it to the screen it's automatically
interpreted correctly in HTML. Otherwise you'd have to build your own I
think.

Hi, I am opening a stream that is UTF encoded. I use fgetc to read the stream- which is binary safe. I add every character read to a string. But when I look at the stream, I see some characters with a bunch of "?" question markets, and then utf8_decode has no effect on it either. How do you go about decoding utf. Does adding the characters to the

Hi all, what would be the easiest way in Python to decode HTML entities to a unicode string? I would need a function that supports both numerical as well as name based HTML entities. I already did some googling, but I only found a function that decoded numerical ones, and this function didn't support unicode... Cheers,

Is there a module/function to remove all the HTML entities from an HTML document (e.g. - &nbsp, &amp, &apos, etc.)? If not I'll just write one myself but I figured I'd save myself some time. Thanks, -- Robert

Hi all! I need a way to decode numeric HTML entities (like Ü) back to their UTF-8 character to place them into a textarea. I tried the following but it doesn't work in IE. data = data.replace(/&#(\d+);/g, function() { return String.fromCharCode(RegExp.$1); });

Hello group, The following code is an attempt to perform URL-decoding of URL-encoded string. Note that std::istringstream is used within the switch, within the loop. Three main issues have been raised about the code; 1. If characters after '%' do not represent hexademical number, then uninitialized value variable 'hexint' used - this is undefined behavior. 2. This code is very inefficient - to many mallocs/string

I have a javascript variable set to the contents of a database comments field. To set the js variable I used the PHP addslashes function which encodes the apostrophe, double quotes and the backslash. I need to use the variable contents 3 times; - display on HTML page - pre-populate a text area with it - make it the body of an e-mail When I display the variable using document.write, things like "<b>"

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
