Call .Net object from asp?

I think the subject says it....but...

I need to rotate images on the fly. This is painfully simple in .Net. So I
thought I could write a class in .Net and (hopefully) call it from classic
asp.

Does anyone know if this is possible.

I realize I could create a vb com object as well, but would prefer to use
the .net object.

Thanks

You could write it as a web service and call that from ASP ...

You can create a COM wrapper for .NET and register it with regasm.exe. I am
not sure, however, if it can be called directly from ASP, or if it requires
a COM component to call it; it is possible that .NET sets up on a COM
interface other than default, which will make it uncallable from .NET. It is
worth a shot.

Tom's suggestion of making a web service and calling using the SOAP Toolkit
will also work, as long as you are recieving an image location rather than a
byte array. If it is a byte array, you may have an issue writing to the
Response stream from straight ASP.

Hello I am using asynchronous delegates to make a call to a COM ActiveX object, but even though the call occurs on a separate thread, my UI is still blocking. If i put the thread to sleep in my delegate call, the application is well behaved (no UI freeze), but the call to the com object causes the UI to lock up Do I have to manage calls...

Hi, I've been struggling with this today, I'm developing a DotNet2.0 website in C# that needs to call a long running data query. Obviously this is a good candidate for an Asynchronous call, so the page can carry on rendering whilst the call is taking place and also returning the ASP.NET worker thread to service another page request (for...

All, Not sure if this is possible or not - I've created a class which performs an asynchronous operation and provides notification when the operation is complete. I'd like the notification to be performed on the same thread thread that instantiated the class. One way to do this is to pass an ISynchronizeInvoke into the class and use it to...
