In the error handler,

I found the following under the GetObject help notes and in the
example for GetObject:
"This example uses the GetObject function to get a reference to a
specific Microsoft Excel worksheet (MyXL). It uses the worksheet's
Application property to make Microsoft Excel visible, to close it, and
so on. Using two API calls, the DetectExcel Sub procedure looks for
Microsoft Excel, and if it is running, enters it in the Running Object
Table. The...

Hi,
I am having a problem with Excel 2003 worksheets when I upload them using
the HtmlIputFile. After the upload, I start to download the worksheet and it
appears to be currupt.
I recieve the error:
<FileName> cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only, or you may be
trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server the document is
stored on may not be responding.

Hi
I have a question which I hope somebody can answer. I have written a VB
application with which I want to import an Excel file, analyze the data
within it and do some calculations. There are in fact five sheets in the
Excel file. My original idea was to import the file into access and create a
database file; which I did and worked beautifully. It generated five tables
in the database as expected.
However, I then thought why not...

I am trying to create a DLL in Visual Studio 2005-Visual Basic that contains
custom functions. I believe I need to use COM interop to allow VBA code in
Excel 2002 to access it. I've studied everything I can find on COM Interop
and .NET. I've also tried many of the 'Walkthroughs' on the MSDN site
relating to COM add-ins, .NET and Office XP but am unable to get even these
working in Excel 2002 or Word 2002.
I've installed the Office XP...

What I am trying to achieve:
Basically I have generated a report in access. This report needs to be updated using excel. (Updating the new data, not changing existing data)
What I did was I imported the existing report into Excel (Tools – Office Links – Analyze It with MS Excel). Then I linked the report to the Excel file. (File – Get External Data – Link tables) and a link table was automatically generated.
I wanted to test the link,...

Dear all,
Currently, I am working on a project to make a web-based application using ASP 2.0 and C#. This application will ask user to input for an excel file which has graphs in it. Then the application will grab the graph as image file, and this image will be displayed as thumbnail in the page.
Is it possible to accomplish this feature?
If it is possible, would you please tell me how?
And if it is not possible, why?

Hi all.
I have successfully written xsl code to transform xml to excel file. I have also used css styles for excel using <ss:Styles>...</ss:Styles> inline in the xsl file.
My requirement is write the css styles in separate file and use it with the excel file. Apparently two approaches:
1. Inject style code in generated xls file.
-- OR --
2. Reference style file from outside in the generated xls file.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
