OT--best forum for client-side issues?

I have a very tough issue I'm looking for help on re: javascript/css. I see
that MS has groups with HDTML in the title, but there are quite a few of
them, and they don't seem to get updated very often. At least not compared
to this ASP group. Anyone know which one I am likely to get some help on?

Keep in mind that you can always use groups.google.c om.

But no, it doesn't provide FULL access to ALL groups, for those ALT inclined

I could, but those posts take hours to get replies, sometimes.

Once I get home, I'll post my question to comp.js, but was hoping for an
answer while still at work.

Yes, but you can always search immediately for similar existing posts. Works
for me 80% of the time, then I post, and possibly wait.

unique problem

"once I get home, I'll check"

So you been at work for days, without going home, and without newsgroup

Hi, First of all, sorry for cross-posting, but some groups look more active than others, and I sure need to find an answer to this. I recently rebuilt my website using ASP.NET and I did my forum system using a datagrid and template columns. I was asked by many users to remove the LinkButton in order to be able to "open in a new window", so instead I used the hyperlink control to allow users to access the message page from the topic...

Hi We are dealing with significant browser compatibility issues with Netscape 5.x+ browsers and Mac IE. I am sure most web developers have faced similar issues in the past. Can anyone give me their thoughts on how they were able to address these issues ? Are there any best practices published by MS on how to ensure browser compatibility when coding asp.net Thanks for any input.

Is there a forum somewhere specializing in WSE 3.0? I am going through the "Microsoft Web Service Security Patterns and Practices" book/pdf and it has a link to a community forum with a url of http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?Linkid=57044 but that is a bad link. I have some questions that are probably too specific for this general forum. -- Regards, Gary Blakely

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
