Hi,
Wonder if someone could help me. I'm looking for a PHP/MySQL based
search engine that can search flat files i.e. build it's own index
from flat files. I've used Apaches' Lucene before
(http://jakarta.apache.org/lucene/docs/index.html), so I'm looking for
something similar. If there's a pay-for product out there, I don'd
mind paying.
So, it needs:

Hi,
I have indexed some information from a database using the dotNet
port of Lucene. If I index a field as a keyword then Lucene does not
pick it up when searching. If I index the field as text then Lucene
finds it. Here is a sample of the code. If anyone can see why please
e-mail me at the_kiddie98@yahoo.com. This is somewhat urgent.
Indexer:
Document doc = new Document();
doc.Add (Field.Text ("director_name",

Hi, all.
I know that there is a way of using JavaScript to call a Java method,
and for the JavaScript to collect some sort of response from the Java,
as I had a page working a few years ago that used Java to read a file
from the filesystem then the JavaScript formatted the contents of the
file (a simple list) by wrapping HTML tags round certain fields.
Now, I am trying to make an HTML page that presents a query form, that
would then...

I hope someone is using Lucene.net and can help me to make it work
since (in my opinion) documentation for Lucene.net is poor or I'm used
to different kind of documentation.
Can someone explain step by step how to create index (there is source
code but how I call index), how to search (also, there is source
code), etc. I'm new to .net and I try to learn by samples but
lucene.net is totally confusing me.
This article on CodeProject...

I have been experimenting with Zend/Php/Lucene.
I have used Lucene extensively as Java in Tomcat Servlets.
Zend's php Lucene works the same way, but it is much slower
to index for some reason--way too slow to ever finish,
when working a moderately sized site--on a shared host.
I could try to figure out how to break the site up into chunks
and then index once and then update many times.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
