Log in issue after entering password and username

Hello,

I can not log onto my database after entering the username and password. It just stalls. If I hit close, the whole database will close. Please help. Thanks.

Welcome to Bytes.

I can't really help with your situation as you don't actually give any information about your situation other than you aren't getting past some logon stage.

An error message might possibly give us something to work with, and if there is no error message that would be interesting too. It wouldn't get us very far without other information but it would close off certain avenues of exploration.

Basically you need to share at least enough of your problem as will give us something to work with. This is a mystery without any clues so far.

I suppose you've tried the obvious, like rebooting the computer and trying again, but here's some other things to try:
Are you trying to open it by clicking on the .accdb (or other such) file, or by opening Access first? If the former, what happens when you do the same to one of the earlier backup copies you hopefully have? Or to another database, if you have one?
Try opening Access itself first, then navigate to the database and try one of the Open options like Read-only, or Exclusive (dropdown arrow on the Open button at the bottom of the window). Note exactly what happens when.
Try opening Access then opening a new database. Does this work?
Any of these things might possibly give a starting point for where to look.
