crystal report

Hi Experts,

I am absolutly new to crystal report. I am using VISUAL STUDIO. And my backend database is in MS-access with three different table in the database. Which contains, consignment dispatched to various customer.

Now I want to create a report where anybody can download report of cards status, i.e. if card is delivered,returened etc.

Table name in MS Acess is :- smart1
Following are the fields:-
UPDATION_ID SLNO USER_ID FORM_NO NAME ADDRESS_1 ADDRESS_2 ADDRESS_3 CITY PIN TEL_NO BKG_DATE AWB_NO DISP_DATE DEL_DATE DEL_TIME STATUS REMARKS1 REASON RTONO RECEIVER NSS CUSTCODE COUR_NAME COUR_CODE UPLOAD_TIME

I basicly need BKG_DATE wise, count of cards geting delivered or returned, which is been updated in the database in STATUS column.

Kindly suggest how to start and how to go ahead.

Hiya smugcool. Sorry to say but I doubt you will get a positive response to your request from our experts in the Access forum. Crystal reports is not a product I am aware we have much expertise in - most of us use Access's own reporting facilities or direct export to other formats for reporting purposes. Add Visual Studio to the mix and you cut down the possibilities for us to assist you still further.

I could be completely wrong, but most of our expert contributors are expert in Access itself along with related applications, which is not really the focus of your question.

I wonder if you have considered any of the other forums on this site for assistance?

Stewart is exactly right! Questions about Crystal Reports in this forum historically receieve very little in the way of responses, except for a post such as Stewart's! There's simply no reason to use an "outside" reporting program with Access.
