It's okay to have front ends that are different versions of Access all using
the same back end in a split database.
There are other issues here (as indicated), but the issue you are concerned
about is not an issue.

Thanks Allen, but these do not seem to address the split database issue.
If a user has Access 2007 installed on a client, can he co-exist with
other users on Access 2003 with all users interogating the same backend
Access 2000 database? It shouldn't matter if changes are made to his
local front end - this contains a few tables, all reports and queries and
a fair number of links to the backend tables.
