Access runtime

9 New Member
Hi
I have installed the runtime system for Access. When I try to open a database I get all the warning messages about not secure objects. So I assume the database is loaded. But when the mouspointer changes from the hourglass to normal nothing appears in the window. The whole window is just grey.
Thank you in advance

I'm sorry I can't help you here HeinzW.
I'm hoping one of the other experts have some experience in this area.
If you don't get any response after a couple of days just bump the thread and I will see it and make some further enquiries.

At a guess I would say that the database window is hidden and you haven't set a startup form. Have you access to the full menu. If so go to Windows, unhide and see what happens. Then check Tools - Startup and set a form to open on database start like Switchboard, etc. Then close and reopen the database.

Thanks for your help!
I read in the meantime that this is normal for Access runtime. It does not show a database window.

Thanks for the tip Heinz. Don't use it myself.
