Only ID is mentioned, I want the text from the same table

P: n/a
On the main form I choosed a position (like manager, secretary...) from
a combo box.

The field in the footer form of another form mentioned the ID of the
position.
How to have the position TEXT mentioned in this field?
I do have a 97 version database (but works with Acc 2003). There is no
Row Source in the field properties.
The field is bounded to the PositionID in the table with PositionID and
Position columns.

When I changed the Bound Column in the table properties there is no
better result.

Firstly, I can't see how you do not have a row source property. Have
you selected the All tab in the combo bow properties? I would create a
combo box with the wizard. Select your table, Select the field
Position. Sort if needed. Store value in field Position. Give it a
label and finish. That should give you the text Position associated
with PositiionID
