I have a form with a combo box on it that, when a selection is made,
fills in several other controls on the form. The data list for this
combo box can be updated via another pop-up form. When I close this
pop-up form, I requery the combo box to reflect the addition in the
list.
Rather than having the user select the name they just added, I'd like
to set the combo box and all its related controls automatically. When
I call its OnClick code from my update pop-up form, I can set the
value for the combo box fine, but as soon as I reach the part that
fills in the other controls, the combo box is reset to the first row
of data in its source table, and then the other controls are filled
accordingly.
I was hoping that when I set the value for the combo box and then used
....column(1,forms!MyForm!cmbComboBox.listindex), that Access would see
a list index as though the user had actually clicked on it.
Apparently, though, that's not the case. Am I missing something
simple? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
