Finding Links that are not in Links Window

Hi:

I wish to remove a field from a record, however when I try I am told that I cant remove it
until I remove links to other records, and that the links will be showin in the links
will show up in the Relationships window. Unfortunatley, they dont!

Does anyone know of any tools to find all the links to a particular table? It may be that
I need to reset something to make them appear, in which cvase I would love to know what to
reset and how!!

Help much apprectaited

Are you asking about table links to remote mdb files or the linking
that occurs when you set a Primary Key/Foreign Key relationship
between tables?

Danny:

These are links within the system (i.e on the same computer and in the same Access mdp
file). Database and application are together at the moment, since the system is under
development. No remote links exist!

Anything you can do to point me in the right direction would he of help.

Regards

I am attempting to reconstruct the links and some of the fields because the sturcture is
massivly confusing at the moment. I want to totally get rid of the field (and in some
cases tables) so that they are no longer present!

So when it tells you can't remove the field, it's because the field
participates in a relationship with another table, either as a Primary
or Foreign key.

Go to the relationships window, find the field you want to delete,
remove all relationship lines by deleting them. Now you can remove
the field ... however, you also just removed your referential integrity.

This is OK, so long as you don't try to use your application until you
get it all put back together.
