Combo-Box Headers ... Can they be customized ?

Is there any easy way to color the header of a combo box (where the
field headings are displayed on dropdown) ?

There's only a horizontal line separating the headings from the data
.... I'd prefer it if the headings could be colored ?

Also can the headings be specified per field ? Currently I get
something like I_F_Name for First Name, etc. Of course I know that's
the field names I've given in the table. Just enquiring though if the
combo-box headers can be customized.

Thx & Best Rgds,
Prakash.

There is not a property for this purpose. If there's anyone who's got a
workaround for putting color where Access didn't intend you to, it would be
MVP Stephen Lebans, at http://www.lebans.com.

Throughout Access, and this is no exception, if you specify a Caption
property for the Field in the Table, that will be displayed instead of the
Field Name. But, no there is no "Column 1 Header" property.

Thx Larry !!

I went to Stephens' Site but unfortunately nothing for colors of combo
headers there.

Thx though for the caption tip. It certainly worked. This makes the
combo headers so much more readable. My client is reading in data from a
Clipper/Dbase III+ format table into his access table, and his field
names are quite cryptic as DbaseIII+ had a 10 char field-name limit.
Thx again,
Best Rgds,
Prakash.

That would be http://mvps.org. By the way, is there a reason that your name is not listed
on the official Microsoft MVP site? I can't find it anywhere in the detailed list shown
on the page.
