Someone had previously created an access 2000 database (tables and
forms together in a single .mdb file). The .mdb file was located on a
server, and two users (on two separate computers) share this database.
It was working fine until last week, when one of the users told me
they can no longer share the database...when they use the save button
(DoCmd.save), they get the error "2501 The save action was
cancelled". This only occurs if the...

a report. This database is used by approximately 20 users and only one

I have a form that has two sub forms.
I would like to use the current value of one of the subform fields as a
search parameter in a query.
I tried pointing to the name of the form/field within the query, but it
didn't use the current field value as the search criteria......I get
the pop up Dialog that says "Enter Parameter Value"......
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hi,
Simple version of the question.....
How do I use the where clause of the open form command to show an
account with a matching ID to be displayed when the form is opened?
Eg. I select a record on a continuous form and click and edit button.
The button runs the open form code. I want the APPID of the current
record on the continous form to match the APPID of the record viewed

I have a program called SBA Freshstart running on 2 terminal servers (Windows 2003 Server)using Access 2002 runtime. The version of Access i'm using is 2002. One terminal server runs the program fine. The second keeps giving me an error of "The Open Form action was cancelled". I have done everything I know to resolve this. I have re-installed the access runtime it's patched as well. Does anyone have a posssible solution for this?

Hi,
I am trying to create a combo box to search record on the base of ID but it gives runtime error message 2501 "the openform action was cancelled" all the times.
I posted this question before but remained unresolved for ID search criteria
http://bytes.com/forum/thread757878.html
I changed the data source from table to query but still with same result.
Right now select criteria on the base of last name is working fine but the problem...

Hi, I have an option group to select different reports, each report is based off a query that asks for criteria for that report. I have no problem opening any the querys through the group regardless of the data involved. The problem arises when you go to open a report and click the cancel button on the criteria question. I get a "Run Time Error 2501", "The Open Report Action was canceled". The error occurs only on the reoprt in the elseif...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
