Defining fiscal period month in report page header section

1 New Member
1) Creating a report from a Cross tab query for sales by fiscal period where fiscal period does not align with calendar month ends.
2)Each Fiscal Periods is defined as a "Group" (1 thru 6) so cross tab query sort will sort by Group 1 thru 6 (left to right) on the report with each group containing summation of dollars for that fiscal period represented by the group number.
3) Issue is that the report page header needs to display the fiscal period 'month' as "mmm" for each group from the cross tab query
4) I can get the calendar month to display without issue but I need fiscal period month to display.
5) Related cross tab query fields are "Group"; "Dollars"; "Customer", "Period Year", "Period Value"; "Period Start Date"; "Period End Date"

Thanks for your help.

Well, it appears that you have multiple questions in thread; however, for clarity's sake we ask that each thread be limited to one topic.

So trying to find the main issue in your post, it appears to be the underlying CTQ, which is admittedly one of my week points; however, the following sub-link has some fairly detailed explanations. I've also provided the main link as there is a wealth of information available.

Sub: Crosstab query techniques
Main: Allen Browne's Access Tips

I think once you get the CTQ to fall in-line the rest should too.

How can I get the the 1st group header to print at the top of each page on my report. More or less I want to use it as the page header but it contains data from SQL. The page header section does not allow you to place data fields in it. Thanks, Craig *** Sent via Developersdex http://www.developersdex.com ***

In a report I have 3 sub-reports. Each Sub-Report has it's own Page Header. When I run the sub-reports individually, the page headers print correctly ... but ... when I run the main report the subreport page headers do not print (they are simply invisible). The Sub-Reports' Report Header Band does get printed though. Any idea why the...

I've built a report using a aggregate query that is grouped by Month + Year, Program and Name. When I feed the date ranges as query parameters, it will very properly print out a report that shows a separate page for each program by month with the names of the folks in that program. So far, so good... But what I need to complete the report...

Hi Everyone; In a report, I've essentially recreated a paper sheet by adding various labels--name, date, problem, year, Progress Notes, etc.--and horizontal lines (people have traditionally written notes). I made all of these in the Page Header section. By the way, this is a report form to track the daily progress of students. --Report...

Hi, I am using Access 2003. I have set up an invoice in a report. I have set up the name and address as text boxes in the Page Header which I've made as small as possible then set the Can Grow property to Yes. This works fine. Below that, there is the column headers for the sales lines which appear in the Detail section.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
