I want to create a custom shortcut menu bar (MS Access 2003), but include the "Filter for" option, which is in the default menu bar -
I can drag this option to a custom menu, but this then removes it from all default menus.
How can I make a copy of this, or create a new one? I Have also looked in the list of commands, but cannot see where this option filter for is.
Many Thanks

Unfortunately your picture doesn't give proper context to indicate where this is to be found. More importantly, your question doesn't either. It makes it very difficult to look into this for you.
With the proper information in the question we may be able to help. We can at least look into it for you.

Recognized Expert Moderator Expert Create a custom toolbar (v2003 and earlier)1.On the Tools menu, click Customize.
2.Click the Toolbars tab.
3.Click New.
4.In the Toolbar name box, type the name you want, and then click OK.
5.Click the Commands tab.
6.Do one of the following: Add a button to the toolbar1.Click a category in the Categories box.
2.Drag the command you want from the Commands box to the displayed toolbar. Add a built-in menu to the toolbar1.In the Categories box, click Built-in Menus.
2.Drag the menu you want from the Commands box to the displayed toolbar.
1.When you have added all the buttons and menus you want, click Close. Note Custom toolbars (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.) that you create are specific to the Access data file (Microsoft Access file: A database or project file. In Access 2007, database objects and data are stored in .accdb files. Earlier versions use.mdb files. An Access project file doesn't contain data, and is used to connect to a SQL Server database.). If you want to use a custom toolbar in a different Access data file, you must re-create or import the custom toolbar.
Also, your image is blocked from my WorkPC due to company policy, as are most file sharing sites; thus, in this case, a picture is worth very little. :)
Adam, zmbd has got it, but another way to do EXACTLY what you were doing using already built in menus, is, in customize mode, to HOLD THE CONTROL KEY DOWN (your cursor will have the arrow AND a little plus sign) as you drag the filter for control from the main menu.
Holding the control key is essentially making a copy before you begin to drag of what you'd like in your short cut, tool bar or menu bar.
Try it, it works!

I am writing a C# app that has a Menu. Some of the menu items will
have short cuts that do not exist in the Shortcut enum. I would like
the custom shortcuts to appear on the menu but as far as I can tell
there is no way to add a short cut that is not in the Shortcut enum.
I have my on keyboard hook so I am not worried about the custom
shortcut magically working. I just want it to appear nicely formated
on the menu.
Anyone have any...

I have some code that adds entries to the "Module Compiled" popup
menu. Works fine in A97. You can open a module, right click, and the
new entries are there for you to click. I converted it to A2000, and
reapplied the new entries. But now when you open a module and right
click (in A2K), the new entries are nowhere to be seen.
If (while in the database window) you click on View, Toolbars,
Customize, Toolbars tab, tick the Shortcut Menus...

Hi all,
I've read through the archives on this, and scoured the web, to little
avail.
There has to be a way to move custom menu bars (or menubars, or command
bars, or popup command bars, or whatever) from one database to another,
because it's an interface import option. I'm happy to slog through
coding it myself, but I need a few pointers. Anyone out there done
this, or found code templates for it? Seems like the CommandBar object

Hi all,
I have been playing with pivotcharts lately to display my data from my database. I have since found however that I will need to get rid of a lot of the "options" a user has to mess around with when I distribute out my database.
One of the easiest ways to do this has been to disable all menus and shortcut menus in my database using the startup properties. However I lose functionality in my pivot charts, namely the drill down / drill...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
