Hello
I have employed as a developer in a software company that its team uses
FoxPro / VB 6.0 / VC++ 6.0 as the developing tools and newly is going to
migrate to VS.NET. There is a project modified that is to upgrade a big,
more than 100,000 lines DOS based program developed by FoxPro 2.x to .NET
platform. The design is as previous and the implementation will be
reprogrammed. As a duty in my job I should find an answer about the

Hi:
I have developed a form, commencing with the form wizard showing in Design View. Having
developed the form partially, I wanted to put a page header on it which would contain the
controls. I set up the header in Design view, but when I switch to Form view the header
does not show. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there some switch I should sent
and have not?

I'm working on a C# multi-form app in the compact framework. The forms are called from a main menu that stays in the background. Since there is no yes/no MeassageBox in the compact framework, I'm displaying a third form as a secondary check of the user's intentions. (i.e. Are you sure that you want to do this?)
I am trying to pass the boolean value back to the form that opens the secondary check form. Could someone please tell how this might be...

Hi this is related to a previous post, hopefully just a bit clearer
description o the problem. I have a parent form that opens a new form (child
form) while still leaving the parent form open. Although the child form has a
close button (with java script) if the user navigates the parent form to
another form the child form is still open. Just wondering if there is a way
to close the child form when the user navigates away with the parent...

Ok.. I have a form with lots of stuff on it; a tool strip panel, menu strip,
data binding elements (dataset, binding source, table adapter), tab control
with 7 tab pages, each page contains a picture box, lots of text boxes (for
input).. you get the idea. All of a sudden everything on the form has
disappeared, it looks like a blank, newly created form. I can still get to
the properties of every item on the form using the drop-down box in...

Hello,
I am working on an application in MS Access. I have an employee form with an employee charges subform. the subform is supposed to be displayed in the datasheet view.
I have put the labels for column headers in the form header, and the charges total in the form footer.
What happens is , the header and footer are visible both on the subform and the parent form in design view, but neither appears in run mode. I have gone through every...

Hi Guys,
My problem today is how to change the labels in a form header when the user selects a different tab. I want it in the header instead of the tab control box because im using this is a continuous form and want to fit maximum number of records per page.
to clarify, I have labels that say Line Unit 0001, Line Unit 0002, Line Unit 0003 eg. through Line Unit 0010. When the user selects the second tab, I want the labels to chang to...

MS Access 2007. When doing a simple record select and copy on a continous form, all the unbound controls in the form header get copied as well. Evidence of this is seen if you paste into Excel.
the unbound controls are in some cases, combo boxes and in some cases, text boxes
I have set properties to locked and not enabled and set tab stop to No and even re-ordered tab index. None of the above has helped.
Does anyone have an idea as...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
