There is. Look at Cascaded Form Filtering for a fuller explanation.

hi mandeep,

I want to know what sort of technology are you using?.
What I meant is, Are you using ADO.net or a tradition way of SQL statement to fetch the data from the database?

I have a form that lists several different categories for labels. I made a form that will let the user add a new category. On the Form the user can type in the name for the new category, then I thought I would search the code below and replace "ReservedForNewCategory01" (or the next available category, possibly "ReservedForNewCategory02"), with the name of the new category that the user typed into the Form. How can I search and replace...

I am trying to handle a button click event, which updates a web control table with data. The button is dynamically created in the table itself. When I call updateTable() in the Page_Load the new data from the button is not available at this time as to allow the table to properly update. So basically, I need to call UpdateTable() twice, once from page load and once from button. This causes problems with my application, and I was trying...

Hello All, I have a search text and button that post data and my button handler filters the repeater control. However when the button is clicked the first time. The page_load event is being called twice, once with postback true, and second time without postback. This only happens for this button. How can I sort out this issue, any clues what to look for to get this sorted please. <p>Search Bookmarks: <asp:TextBox ID="txtSearch"...

I have a server side button that needs to do some preperation and afterwards, if everything goes well, open a new browser with a specific url. I know how to execute javascript from a server side control, adding the javascript to the attributes. I need to open the browser window AFTER the code behind event is finished. For example I have two text boxes on the form, whose values I want to send as parameters to the URL that I want to...

I am trying to write a code for a button click event. When the button is clicked, it is supposed to bring up an open file dialog box to allow the user to select the document they which to open. That word doucment will then be opened and displayed in MS Word. The code I have below doesn't quite work the way I expected it to. First, VB is complaining that the variable readOnly is not declared. How can that be when it is declared as Dim...

I'm new to JavaScript and I wrote this code to play with. Oddly, if I enter text in a box and then press the button, I only get the onChange event for the text box and not the button's onclick event. But if I press the button without entering text first, the button click event does work. What's up? <html> <body> <h3>Events on Buttons and Text Boxes</h3>

I have an asp.net 1.1/C# web form with a text box server control and one button server control. Users can type in text to search and then click the button to start the search. I want them to be able to type in text and then just hit the Enter key instead of having to click the button. Currently, an Enter keypress causes a post back, but it does not fire the event handler for the button click. How can I get this to work?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
