Novice needs help with Invoicing in Access

10 New Member
Advice needed in a little simple language, as I am a little novice.

I've created a DBase thats lists Jobs done on a daily basis for customers. I week after the job is completed I will receive a PONo. One PONo could be for several of the jobs.

I need to invoice the company seperate invoices grouped by Cp/PONo but still have the Inv no. recorded against each Job line. I haven't put in invoicing fields/tbls in the DBase yet I need guidance on design and set up of tables/relationship/query. A set by step guide would be good. I know how to do tables/querys/update querys etc.

I have seen several examples of invoice relationships but these are all one invoice number to one invoice line, I could do that.

HELP !

Do some (google) searching for Data Models. Look for something involving Invoices or Orders and OrderItems.

You may even try Normalization. You might just find some samples that can help. Good luck.

Date problem. Using non American date formats with Microsoft Access and Visual Basic. I set my regional settings to English(Ireland) or English(United Kingdom) and my date appears in Access as DD/MM/YYYY. However if the day is less than 12 the day then becomes the month e.g. 3 July 2003 is displayed in Visual Basic as 7 March 2003. So if I have two records with different dates as such 6/8/03 and 15/8/03 the first date is 8 June 2003...

Hello All, I have been working on this for almost a week now and I haven't anything up my sleeves anymore that I could test in addition or change.... Since I am not sure, if this is a Windows 2003 Server or ADO or ODBC issue, I am posting this on all of the three newsgroups. That's the setup: Windows 2003 Server with IIS and ASP.NET actiavted Access 2002 mdb file (and yes, proper rights are set on TMP paths and path,

I am trying to use Access as a front end for extracting information from an Oracle database. I started using linked tables but I am getting a very curious behaviour. When I consult the linked table in access, the total number of records is OK but some records appear several times and some records do not appear at all. It seems as if access or the ODBC drivers returns several times the same record and skips some of the records, curiosly...

Hello I develop my applications in Access 2002. My development system is running Windows XP SP2 and I have Microsoft Office XP Developer. Microsoft Office XP is at SP3. I used Inno Setup (great product) to install my applications. When the Access Runtime was needed on the system I simply ran 'accessrt.msi' from Microsoft Office Developer discs. When another version of Access (other than Access 2002) was on the system then I simply...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
