Creating eliminating result for Drop Down List in MS Access

1 New Member
Hi there,

I'm creating a form to store data with eliminating drop down box in MS Access 2007.

The most common example that I can see is with Address selection.
I've created a table called Address_List.
Inside the table I have fields for Country, State, City and Street (in one table).
Country State City
USA Colorado Denver
USA Texas Dallas
USA Texas Austin
USA Texas Houston

My aim was to get a drop-down list which selects the Country first, then once we've selected the country, we can select the State that's applicable for the Country.
Same goes for the City and Street selections.

Example:
First Dropdown:Select-"USA"
Second Dropdown:Select-"Texas"
Third Dropdown:Select-"Austin"

Something like that. Can it all be done using one table?
What's the easiest way to make it happen.

Thanks!

I read on the docs that most HTML controls can not be created on run-time. what kind of work-arounds do you use in this case? maybe DHTML? do you have any example ? How far have I got? Ok so...

This may seem simple, but I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out exactly how to do it. I'm accessing a database through an ODBC link, and I have a query that returns only jobs completed that day (it's automatically generated). 1 user may finish 10, 20, or 50 jobs a day, but there can be at least 20-50 users per day, and they're always going...

Is it possible to link one drop-down box to another? For example, if a name is chosen from a drop-down list, can another drop-down list then automatically display the person's office as a result of the choice made in the first drop-down list? If so, how can that be done? I am working with 'Teach Yourself Microsoft Access' and I didn't see it...

Hi all, I would like to know a way to add a label to an update panel by using a drop down list selected item. For example: There is a list of items in a drop down list, the user selects one then presses the add button next to it and it creates a label in a table next to it. Here is the code I have at the moment:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
