Formatting on data entry form

1 New Member
On a data entry form I am creating the answers to questions 2a1-6 are related to the answer to question 2a...If 2a is "N", questions 2a1-6 are "N/A"...If 2a is "Y", questions 2a1-6 can be "Y", "N", or "N/A"...I want questions 2a1-6 to be automatically populated with "N/A" if 2a="N"...If 2a="Y", the data entry staff will manually populated 2a1-6 with either "Y", "N", or "N/A"...How should this be set-up on the form? Any information appreciated...

I have a subform which is in Continuous Forms view. I have added a button to the bottom of the page to move to the next record using the button wizard (result: DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNext). I want all of the controls in whatever is the CURRENT record to have it's data bolded on the screen. (Question #1: Is there a SIMPLE way to refer to the Current Record?) I've been trying to use a Bookmark to specify the current record, but it

I have a form where the conditional formatting is set on some fields to bold if certain conditions are met. However, when the conditions are met some of the data that is to bold is either not showing or only part of the data in the field displays (i.e. it will display the last name but not the first name or it will display neither). When the conditional formatting is removed it displays all the data as it should be display so the data...

Hi Everyone, I'm generally unfamiliar with Access form design, but have programmed Cold Fusion applications for a couple of years. I'd like to build a data entry form in Access that allows the following. First, the data schema: Three tables are involved. The first is a PERSONS table which has two fields, SSNUMBER (primary key), and NAME.

Hello all, I've seen many discussions regarding continuous forms in Access and how to highlight individual rows and they all seem to suggest conditional formatting as the only way. This is fine, but I am struggling to understand if it will solve my problem. I have two subforms on a main form that contain many rows of data. What I want to do is highlight in subform 2 those rows that are not present in subform 1. I am using a query...

I've got a continuous form that is just for display, so hence all items on it are set to Enabled = No, Locked = Yes. This has the desired effect of making the item unclickable - exactly what I want. However, if I then apply some conditional formatting to change the background colour when a condition is met the field now doesn't remain dumb. When you move the mouse over it, the pointer changes from a pick arrow to a text insert. Now while...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
