Conditional Formatting & the Bold

I have a form where the conditional formatting is set on some fields
to bold if certain conditions are met. However, when the conditions
are met some of the data that is to bold is either not showing or only
part of the data in the field displays (i.e. it will display the last
name but not the first name or it will display neither).

When the conditional formatting is removed it displays all the data as
it should be display so the data IS being found and it CAN be
displayed, just not while the conditions of the conditional formatting
is initiated.

Anyone know anything about what could cause or resolve this????

thanks

FAI, I fudged with the issue for a while and discovered that the
Conditional Formatting has limitations when attached to a text box
that has the ability to grow or shrink. If anyone knows how to get
around this I would appreciate it. Regardless, once I changed the
text box so that it didn't have to grow or shrink it solved the
problem however it also added space between each row where the extra
room wasn't needed. Again, any other solution would be appreciated.

P.S. It was on a "report" not a "form" as the original post
indicated.

Since you now state that your issue is with a Report not a Form then
Conditional Formatting is not required. Simply use the Format event of
the relevant section to check your criteria and set the control(s) props
as desired.

Hello all! For quite some time now, I've got the following problem: Access won't close properly when a user closes the application. An ACCESS process stays active and that process can only be terminated by pressing ++ and then terminate the process. I searched the entire internet and found out that there could be two things wrong (both of them are mentioned in the bug list on the access

I have a subform datasheet in which I want to bold the text of a field if another field in the datasheet meets certain criteria. I think I want to (select the field in question and) use something like: Format >> Conditional Formatting >> Condition1 >> Expression Is = "If Me!Entity_ID > 0" But I'm not sure what syntax to use in the "Expression Is" window in the Conditional Formatting dialog (the above example does not work)

I have an A2000 database in which I have a continuous form with a tick box. There is also a text box with a conditional format that is based on the expression , if it's true then change the background colour. In A2000 it works great, but in A2003 the background doesn't always change and when it does it only changes when the record looses the focus. Any way around this? Is it a bug? Or have they "improved" it?

Got a continuous form with name, address, and so-forth. I'd like the name to become bold for the currently-selected row. The Format|Conditional Formatting menu seems limited to the control's having focus. Anything I can do in VBA? ....like in OnCurrent()? -- PeteCresswell

I have many text fields with conditional formatting applied, specifically when the condition is "Field Has Focus". Without any events associated with the fields the conditional formatting works perfectly. However, I have code that runs under the ON CLICK event. The code changes the focus to other controls, which means the conditional formatting is no longer displayed. This part makes sense to me. Here's what doesn't make sense. The last...

Hi All, I have a couple Date fields in a form that are usually Null but when they are not I would like the field to be highlighted, bold and flash. I usually right click on the field and go to Conditional Formatting, there I know you can set the conditions but I do not know how to make the field flash (hopefully that is the right term). If there is any reference someone can give me that would be great. If this cannot be done please let me...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms. Adolph will...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
