How is the form being opened? Are you clicking on its name from the database window or is it opened from another form or switchboard?

I'd also double check that the Data Entry Property is set to No since what you describe is the expected behavior when it is set to Yes.

What version of Access are you using?

I 'm clicking on its name from database window.
Unfortunately Data Entry set on "NO", and I still have the same problem:(
My version is Access 2007.

You could try creating a new, blank database and importing all objects into it. If you've got corruption this will sometimes solve the problem.

Barring that, you need to zip up your file and post it here for us to look at.

First, confirm that the data entered in the form is being added to the table. Check the record indicators on your form for how many records are in the recordset the form is bound to and make sure that checks out.

Hi All, I'm trying to implement encryption on certain data fields in my MySQL database and I'm experiencing ongoing problems. I seem to be able to encrypt the data without issues, but can't figure out how to decrypt the data. My field in my test table, in which I'm storing the encrypted data, is a TEXT type field.

For some Open Source (GPL licensed) programs that I am working on, I am trying to create some PHP routines for data handling with good security. The routines I have created for this are given below and I would like these reviewed for security problems or other problems that they may have. My requirements are as follows:

We have an asp.net app with about 200 data entry forms. Customers may enter data into any number of forms. Each form's data is persisted in a corresponding sql table. When data entry is complete, it needs to be processed. Here's where the questions start. How can we easily determine in which tables a customer has data and how best to select that data? We're not opposed to putting all the data in a single table. This table would...

For years I have been using VBA extensively for updating data to tables after processing. By this I mean if I had to do some intensive processing that resulted in data in temp tables, I would have VBA code that wrote the results of that away to the db, either creating new records or updating existing records, whichever was relevant. This may also include deleting records. Now I generally do this by opening a recordset on the source data...

hi everybody, i hope this is the right place to discuss this weird behaviour. i am getting dynamically generated text or xml from the server side using xmlhttprequest. if the server side data is STATIC, i can have whatever size of data i want. but if the data (xml or text) is generated dynamically using php, then there seems to be a size limit! xmlhttprequest's responseText is truncated, and the xml therefore not well fromed. in border...

Hi Guys, I'm very new to access and I've been trying to get the hang of it over the last few days, but I've become very confused with various aspects of how to code it. Introduction: I am using 3 tables for my data base at the moment. The first table is an ID table, which tracks IDs that are in use/taken. The second table is a queue, which has very little/limited information on a person. The third table is a log, which has much more...

Hello everyone, I'm looking for some advice on whether I should break the normalization rule. Normally, I would not consider it, but this seems to be a special case. I have created an "Outcomes Database" used to store response data from measures/ questionnaires for a longitudinal health study. It is essentially derived from Duane Hookom's Survey Database (thanks Duane!!!), with many modifications added to fit the needs of my lab.

Well, here's my first post in this forum (other than saying 'HI' over in the hi forum ;-) As I said over there: ... for a little side project at home, I'm writing a ham radio web site in uby/Rails. I started it in Perl and gave up on Perl as I went from the 'display the database information on the web page' to the 're-display the information from the database and allow the user to update the database using the web page' stage and realized...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
