Count Option Group Selections on Report

I've copied the option group from my form, and pasted it into the report which seems to work fine. Now, I wish to total the option items in the report. So I have a query that grabs records within a given set of dates. So, the result on the report is a series of records, one line at a time, and the option group is placing option a,b,c,d,e in their respective places. So far so good. Now, I wish to sum these options individually. Count of option a, count of b, etc. How would I go about this?

Since this is not really a part of your original question I've split it into a separate thread.

I have a form with a multi-select combo. I dynamically build a SELECT statement, open a report, and set the recordsource to my dynamic SELECT statement. I count the records returned in the report by setting a text box to =Count(*). This works fine. Now I want to count the unique records in my report. I can dynamically create a SELECT statement that counts unique records. My statement looks like this: SELECT DISTINCT...

Hello Access Developers, I'd like to know if it is possible to perform a count in an expression that defines a control source. My report is based on a query. In my report, I want a text box to display the number of times a certain value appears in a certain field (i.e. perform a ‘count'). I will be doing this for many values in many fields so do not wish to have scores of queries to build my report.

Is it possible in access to select the total count of records for a given group of records and show those all those counts in one report? For example, I have a table of records that contain different customers with different service requests. I would like to build a report that shows the quantity of service requests for each customer and then maybe later, by type of service request for each customer. Fields are CustomerName,...

Howdy, I am having trouble with the objectCategory=group member.Count attribute. I get one of three counts, a number between 1-999, no member (does not contain member property), or 0. Using LDIFDE as a comparison I get the same results. No members means just that, an empty group. Zero means that the DirectorySearcher.SizeLimit has been exceeded....

I am using a pseudo "pivot table" SQL query to generate a report but I am totally stumped on why the COUNT() function isn't getting me the expected results and was wondering if anyone has some ideas... it is for a statistical report showing which lead source a member followed when creating a profile (i.e. CNN ad, Chicago Tribune ad, etc), grouped by age range. here is the SQL that should total up rows based each specific

have a report that I am trying to build and I can't figure out how to make Access group and sum/count information to give me a nice statistics report. Basically the database has case information for matters at a law firm. The point is to create this report to group on the attorney. Then for each attorney count the cases where the status (CStatus is the field) is "Open", where the status is "Closed", sum the size of the media in all of the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
