Howdy all,
I'm wondering if someone could give some direction on a problem I have
or share their experiences.
I'm wanting to create a little PHP application that will run on a
local machine and use ODBC to connect to a Access database on that
machine. A series of forms will interact with the database but if I
understand correctly, I need...

What do I need to get (from Microsoft I assume) in order to distribute
stand alone Access applications to people who do not (and will not) have
Access installed on their systems?
I have heard about Run Time modules, but am unsure of what they are and
how they are obtained. Is there a cost associated with this?

Hi,
We are moving to using mysql as our db and we have some reports
already written in Access. Is there a way to create a stand alone EXE
that will run the report from Access and then use a DSN and have our
DSN point to the mysql db instead of using Access's db? We don't want
to have to install Access on everyone's machine in order to run...

I have an access database that I would like to sell and have it be a
stand alone product. I am unsure what the best way to lock someone out
of the tables and queries, and make it able to run if someone does not
already have access on their computer. Thank you in advance for any
information.
Best regards,
Brenda

Is is possible to create a stand alone database application that a
user can run without Access being installed. I used to have a program
on my old Commodor 64 called Codex that did this. I would like to do
this also with windows.
If Access does not do this, does anyone know of a program that will do
it?
Thanks,
jeff :)

I've been stuck on this problem for days now at work and its driving me insane. Basically there is a system in place at multiple locations that is an open source project running with ms access. This system holds customer records and order data, and its written in asp.

I need a stand alone database for a VB.Net application on a laptop.
It will have about 15,000 records in it.
Frst off, if there any way to load XML in to a dataset and then run
SQL against it? Maybe that would meet my need.
If not, what is the best or quickest stand alone database for vb.net
and a laptop?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
