Date/Time Validation Rules

2 New Member
Hai everyone, i need some help :o

basically im trying to set some validation rules for an 'employees' table.

firstly i've set it to you have to be 16 to work here under 'Date Of Birth'

<DateAdd("yyyy" ,-16,Date())

simple and good enough for me.

but, i would like a validation rule for for 'Date Employed' as currently you can be employed before your born o.Ó which.. doesn't make much... sence....

if you could help me much love will be given :D

You can certainly do
>[txtDateOfBirth]
referrring to the text box that holds the date of birth. I think no date will be valid until txtDateOfBirth is entered, so you might want to force them to fill out the date of birth first by locking or disabling the field until after the date of birth is updated.

although i did find a way

with the field selected going to the properties sheet and putting
[Date Of Birth] < [Date Employed]
that did it fine

thanks anyway

Much Love

Hi, When validating an XML instance, sometimes the schema is not enough to expression the validation rules. Additional validation rules may be expressed in an application-specific way. For example, using XPath or Java method. So is there a concept and/or standard for post-schema validation or application validation? Is there any hook in XML standards that allow me to hook up with my customized validation? Additionally and more...

It has appeared that ancient sources give a method for Numeric Date Validation that involves numerous tests to determine month length; versions are often posted by incomers here. That sort of code seems unnecessarily long. For some while, the following approach has been given here :- function ValidDate(y, m, d) { // m = 0..11 ; y m d integers, y!=0

I've been updating by date stuff at my web site using much of the information obtained here. Would you please check it for any errors. The two pages are "Yearly Calendar" and "Date Calculator". There is no year validation on the "Yearly Calendar" but it is only correct for years 1 and up. There is full validation in the "Date Calculator" but I limited the dates to years 1-9999. I did not allow years before the year 1 since I am still...

I am working on a problem and desperately need help! I need to prompt a user for the numerical month of birth, day of birth and year of birth and store it in varialbes and the use the variables to build a date object. Then print the resulting date object, in it's full form. on the screen using document.write. This IS for school and I think I am starting out right, but can't quite seem to grasp what I am doing wrong, or where to go from...

Before I reinvent the wheel I thought I'd ask: anybody got a code snippet that will convert the common ISO8601 date formats to a JS date? By "common" I mean at the least ones described in this W3C note: http://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-datetime For my requirements the code would be need to be open sourceable under the BSD license.

(A) Some of us in the UK will have been watching with amusement what seems to be happening in the USA and its Northern Sidekick with regard to the change in DST rules. I've discovered that the change will also be happening in the Bahamas (Commonwealth), Bermuda and Turks & Caicos (British Overseas Territories) - I wonder whether anyone told Her Majesty? (B) Date Validation - ISTM that using D = new Date(y, m', d) then

Hello - I am in a class for Access 2007 Database apllication design and we are covering types of Validation rules. We have a problem that I'm trying to solve but have no idea how to go about writing it. We are building a database for a condo rental company and the rental transaction table includes an arrival date and a departure date. We need to write a table-level validation rule that indicates the departure date is seven days after the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
