Hi.
I would like to access my database outside of my company. I read many
documents but they are all pertaining to accessing the database via
ASP or some form of web application. Is there no single windows or
linux application tht runs natively to access a remote SQL data base?
Any advise is appreciated. Thanks!!

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I can't seem to find a 'remote
control' newsgroup on my news server. And anyway I know Tony has some
experience of this.
The app is split FE/BE. I'd like remote access to at least the server,
hopefully the whole network. And to be able to upload/download, to install
new versions of the FE to the server (which then get sent up to the clients
at runtime).
What experience does anybody have of this....

Recently, Terminal Server was set-up by site server responsible to
give remote access to some users.
I tested it and application runs ok. Now users get Error # 2202 when
they try to "Preview"/"Print" a report because a printer is not setup.
Users confirmed that they have a printer defined.
I am not much familiar with Terminal Services protocol, I know that
everything is done at server and users only receive the screen updates

Dear Access 2003 Users,
Is there any way to launch Terminal Server from Access and pass along
the user name that is in a text box? I believe mstsc.exe can be
passed an IP address (/v), but can you also pass along a username or
password that sits on a form? Thank you.

Anyone knows how to find out how many instances of Terminal Server is
running? If I have a Terminal server that has 5 licenses and 4 user's logon
I want to know how to find out that 4 users are logged on. I'd like to do
this all through code. Right now I am using VB.Net and trying to keep track
of how many instances of my application is running.
However, that does not work if the users logon with different usernames.

Good morning.
I have an interesting chain of events.
My 2007 program has been working fine on a network. I have a split database with tables on F:\timekeeper and front end on terminal server ""c:\programs\timekeeper." just like in the past.
Have a small .cmd routine to insure that user has connection to F:\timekeeper.
We have been using remote access for connection from remote locations and it has been working fine.
