Autopopulate Subform data

2 New Member
Hi I have a main form in which I have linked subforms on tabs..
My problem is that I have one subform which is linked to a table which has 2 to 6 sessions in one table, we are required to fill out a feedback form for each session. So I have put hidden 6 tabs with subforms on each tab linked back to tbl_feedback... ..

So far I have it set up so that when a date field next to a session number on first tab is changed it opens appropriate tab with feedback sub on it... I can get it to create a new record in feedback sub, but if I go back and change date next to session again the corrct feedback sub tab opens but shows first record in feedback tbl based on main form link... I need it to autopopulate the sub fields with data from tbl based on one value in sub.

Such as when date first changed on session 2, new Feedback ID is created 645... change session 2 date again it goes back to 638...

Can you please post table and query structure and how you have them related to each other on the Form as well as include name of controls on form and what they are bound what fields in the tables or queries.

This would be a lot easier to try to diagnose if I had the necessary info. Since I don't know the level of expertise with MS Access, I have to assume that the way that you've set up the relationships between the tab control and each of the controls on the respective tab, you're going to run into trouble because your trying to do a 1 to many relationship, but not telling which item (record) go on what tab, and that is why it is displaying your record in any and or all sub tabs that you may select.

If you can post that information, and also any VBA code that you may have written, this would give a better idea of what needs to be changed to make it work the way you want.

Hope that helps,

I am experimenting with the Enterprise Localization Toolkit. Using the Designer and Translator feature, I am able to include a new label in the Basic sample. Apparently, this can also be accomplished with an AutoPopulate feature but I am unable to figure this out. For example, I add a new label with my key in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ToolkitSamples\Basic\default.aspx. What next steps do I take to AutoPopulate the key in the Samples application?

I have been successful in building autolookup queries but do not know how to mirror this in a form. I am not experienced with Visual Basic...meaning I have played around in it but haven't been successful...if I have some guidance I am sure I could plug in the right fields to...

I have a form with several subforms. Users enter the data, then on the parent there is a command button that runs code to generate a .pdf document from a report based on the data they are working with. If a user enters data in a subform, then directly clicks the command button on the parent form, the data in the subform is not included in their document. I THOUGHT that as soon as focus left the subform, any pending changes to the data...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
