Hi
Has anyone experienced any problems with embedded charts on forms when
running windows vista? I'm running Access 2000 (old I know) and have
noticed that embedded charts don't appear, unless you drag the form
around or bring another form on top and then go back to view it
underneath- then it appears- looks like some kind of paint problem.
There's no problem with Excel or Word etc. Not sure if its Vista
incompatible with MS Chart or Access 2000 incompatible with Vista.
Any ideas gratefully received.
thanks
David 3 2001
Maybe your not getting anyone that is using Access 2000 to compare to but you
could post it to Microsoft - may be an little noticed but.

David, this seems to be a bug unless I'm mistaken. I experienced this
behaviour some time back. Search this group for "Charts In Forms Not
Showing Under Vista" and you will find the thread that I started.
Fortunately someone posted a workaround.

Thanks Wayne. I opted for the best workaround of all- installed

Due to an earlier posting I read in this newsgroup regarding Office 2007
beta, I downloaded it. After I DL'd it, I got an invitation from MS to
get WinVista.
I am now wondering if, since both are betas, it is best to buy a new
computer? My current computer setup is a Pentium 4, 1 gig memory, 2.66
ghz, 60-80 gig disk drive.

Several of my Access 2003 databases are exhibiting the same problem
under Windows Vista. Charts in forms are not showing any data.
Reports are not affected. Charts in reports display as they should.
The chart object in forms appears but contains no data. It appears
to be a screen painting problem because if I open a report or another
form on top of the form that is not showing the chart, when the second
report or form is closed, the...

After having worked with Apache/MySQL/PHP for a year or so under Linux I
need, purely for convenience, to set up a parallel platform under Windows.
Unfortunately, since I last did this (using Windows XP Pro) I've moved
on to Windows Vista (Home Premium). MySQL and Apache2 have both
installed satisfactorily, but I'm having problems with PHP5.
I downloaded the PHP5 Windows installer (the .msi file) for 32-bit
Windows, which is supposed...

I posted about this problem over 12 months ago and even after Vista
SP1 the problem still exists when running an Access database (A2003
and A2007 tested) under Vista. A workaround was suggested by another
group member at that time, but it's hardly ideal. MS should really
look at this and fix it.
When a form containing a chart is opened the chart object is visible,
but no chart data is visible. If any other form is opened over the
top...

What is the best approach to accomplish this task? Should I start up the

upgrade to Vista Ultimate? Or should I start by inserting the Windows Vista

Hi,
I have to develop an application which must run on .net 2.0 on a
Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista Business OS. Is .net 2.0 supported at
Windows Vista? If I see the supported OS at the download page of
microsoft, Windows Vista is not in the list. Are there risks for
strange behavior under Windows Vista?
TIA,

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
