I have a simple app that I created for our Real Estate office using Access 2000
and it is working fine except for on thing. I need to keep the close button
hidden from the users. No problem accomplishing this it in forms using the
forms properties. However the close button for Access program itself is always

I have a form in an Access 2003 application which opens maximized.
Its CloseButton property is set to false. On this form I have a
command button that opens a report in preview mode. The report opens
fine. It opens maximized as one would expect. However, the report
preview window's close button is disabled which is confusing to my
users (they have to click the resize button on the preview window

I have seen no solution to this issue and was wondering if anyone had
one. I am trying to disable the close button in the upper-right
corner of the screen in an Access .mde running under the Access 2007
runtime. Is this possible? Solutions for previous versions of Access

To further follow up on my last post regarding the docmd.quit vs.
Application.quit using access 2007, I noticed that docmd.quit will correctly
compact the database (program file) if you have the "Compact on Close"
option set for the current database.
However, even with Compact on Close set, if you use the Application.Quit
acQuitSaveNone, the compacting will not fire.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
