Useful Access Websites

66 New Member
Hello everyone!

I've been recommended in this forum an excellent Access website full of tips (
http://www.fontstuff.c om/access/
). I strongly recommend it too.
By the way, I was wondering whether other people could recommend other useful Access websites. May this thread serve this purpose. So let me encourage you to post in here useful websites you know!

Best regards!

I have several .NET websites running successfully on Windows 2003 Sever/IIS6 for over a year now. Today I decided to change my anonymous FTP site access using specific 'granted' or ‘denied’ IP addresses to 'non anonymous’ and require username password access. I created a user account and gave it the file permissions, tested and FTP site access works fine (again). Something done brought down the .NET websites! Now when...

hi everyone, this may seem like a dumb question but here goes. I developed an asp.net app, works great, uploaded to production server and it works when tested from this server. But when I try to access the app from another machine (connecting to the server) I get the page cannot be found page. I tried: servername/appname ip address/appname

I have ASP.NET 1.1 websites. They will need to access a SQL 2005 database. Do I have to upgrade the whole web projects to ASP.NET 2.0 in order for them to access SQL 2005? If so, anyone have any good URLs for upgrading 1.1 websites to 2.0? I'm really worried about crashing the current websites if I do a quick conversion to 2.0, but I don't have much time before needing to access SQL 2005.

hi Running an asp site on win/IIs/MSACCESS with a database reaching 45 meg. Responses seem a little slow. Could anyone provide a checklist of things to look at to optimise data access on this platform, or point me in the right direction where I can read up on the subject. Thanks Hugh

I've come up against a major headache that I can't seem to find a solution for but I'm sure there must be a workaround and I would really be grateful of any help. I'm currently building a web site for a small club I belong to and one of the features I would like to include is the ability to allow users to upload image files. unfortunately the servers web root www folder only allows READ and EXECUTE permissions, which makes it...

I have an ASP.NET 2.0 application developed in VB.net, that accesses an Microsoft Access database. When the database is on the same IIS server all works just fine. BUT when it tried to access the same database on a different server I get a permission error. I've created a shared drive on the other server and give it permission with all rights, as well as the Access database. BUT no matter how I set up the connection string in my app, I...

The desktop computers running Windows XP are unable to go into secure websites, for example, microsoft update, banking bill pay or almost anything that requires you to enter a passcode. We are having to use my laptop running Windows Vista to access these websites. We...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
