Hi
Is there any way to call up the query design view from code?
In my compiled-as-MDE app everything is hidden from end users.
However, I want advanced user to have access to the query design view
so they can create, run and export their own query.
Another question is: can they be prevented from saving those
on-the-fly queries?

Seems like a trifling thing, but it gets annoying after a while...
Whenever I create a new query, I'm always needing to resize the window
- the top half is always too small. Is there any way to change this
default size? When I open existing queries, they retain their
previous settings - can't seem to convince access to apply this to new
queries.
Is this possible?

I have a database that I inherited that has query in it that has
hidden fields when it is in design view. Datasheet view shows the
fields and when I switch back to design view it appears as though
those columns are compressed. If I try clicking between the columns
"<-|->" it does not do anything. I don't have 'Format' in the menu
bar to unhide any of the fields for design view.
Does anyone know how to unhide these columns?

In query DESIGN view, how do I automatically "fit" the columns in the
table/field grid to the lengths of the table and field names (including any
functions applied to the fields). I am not talking about the query results.
I am talking about sizing parts of the query DESIGN view, so that they are
readable (long table and field names that get chopped off, long criteria
specifications that get chopped off, ...), and saving the sizing so I...

Hi,
I am stuck with a problem in MS Access which does not occur in SQL
Server and I have been banging my head against the wall for a couple of
days now trying to resolve it. Namely, when I execute the following
query in Access not all records that fit the condition are returned,
and when I run this same query in SQL Server all the records I want are

I'm running Access 2003, modifying a query that has over 45 fields. When I
right click on the field name in Query Design View, and then click Build,
Access crashes before the Build window appears. It doesn't happen every time,

This is a new problem for me: I have some queries that open very
slowly in design view.
My benchmark query takes about 20 minutes to open in design view. That
same query takes about 20 minutes to open in datasheet view. As an
experiment, I deleted all rows in all tables; after that, the query
