hidden fields on query design view???

I have a database that I inherited that has query in it that has
hidden fields when it is in design view. Datasheet view shows the
fields and when I switch back to design view it appears as though
those columns are compressed. If I try clicking between the columns
"<-|->" it does not do anything. I don't have 'Format' in the menu
bar to unhide any of the fields for design view.

Does anyone know how to unhide these columns?

Other than trial and error to move them back over, the only other thing I
can think of would be to go into SQL view, copy the text, place it in a new
query, delete the old query, and save the new one with the name of the old
one.

Are you sure the "Output All Fields" option is not set to "Yes"? That
forces all fields in the input tables to be included in the output even if
they are not pulled down into the design grid.

Hi We have a problem with a query. An Access database links via ODBC to a UNIX server. To speed things, we use the ODBC to load the relevant tables to the local PC that runs Access so that all querying is done locally. One of the reports we run allows the user to list all invoices within a period. They are also allowed to select a customer code and a product set on

Hi everybody- I'm helping a friend with a music database. She has an old one and is creating a new one. She wants to compare records and fields in the old database with records and fields in the new database. For instance, her old database has a table with Band Info in it. Her new database also has a table with Band Info in it but slightly different. I was wondering if there was an easy way to compare the fields from similar tables in...

I have a table generated by a query, and I'd like to add two new field columns to the end or to generate a query which has the same effect. One field is to be called "company" and has the word "pepsi" running down all the rows of the column. The 2nd field is to be called "person" and has the word "A.B." running down all the rows of the columns. How could I do this? Thanks. Tim Donaldson

Hello all, I am joining two tables in a query and the output should be all those records where two fields in table1 match two corresponding fields in table2. I joined the tables using both fields in design view and the Select statement in SQL view looks good. The query runs perfectly and shows the result I want but when I save the query and close it, re-opening in design view shows the error message "Microsoft Office Access can't

All, In excel, when you find a field within a spreadsheet is wrong, and every row needs to be changed, you simply change one cell, copy that cell, and select all the rest of the cell, and paste it. In word, you can just replace... in Access, how do we change fields in a table? especially if it is a check box. Say, I want all the field to be yes for a selected (or even all) records. How to accomplish this easier than export all these...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
