Automatically "fit" query design view table/field grid columns.

In query DESIGN view, how do I automatically "fit" the columns in the
table/field grid to the lengths of the table and field names (including any
functions applied to the fields). I am not talking about the query results.
I am talking about sizing parts of the query DESIGN view, so that they are
readable (long table and field names that get chopped off, long criteria
specifications that get chopped off, ...), and saving the sizing so I don't
have to redo it every time I open the query in DESIGN view. I'm using MS
Access 2003.

Highlight all of the columns then do a best fit on any one of them. It
doesn't save.

I keep getting the following error message when I run a serie of SQL commands: Server: Msg 9002, Level 17, State 6, Line 15 The log file for database 'tempdb' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space. I have tried "dump transaction tempdb with no_log" right before I run the SQL command. But that doesn't help.

My PHP script builds a table that is too wide to fit on the paper. Two of the columns contain strings that are more lengthy than data in the other columns. I can get the table to fit by letting the browser break the lengthy strings across two or more lines, thus allowing the column to get skinnier. I do this by inserting spaces in various places in the string. But this is not a desirable solution as it would mislead the user into...

I am writing code for ASP.NET, and when switching between design and HTML view in .aspx files many of the lines that are longer than the screen width automatically wrap to the next line. I do not like to have tags broken in the middle (I want everything between the < and > on the same line). Is there any way to prevent Visual Studio from breaking the tags in the middle? Thanks. -- Nathan Sokalski njsokalski@hotmail.com...

I'm building my own crosstab table. If a crosstab field has no data in the entire field (as a result of filtering), I don't want to show that field. Is there a way to do this in a qry or frm object? I'd use a pivot, but PT are too slow, and they sometimes crash with amount of data (rows and columns) I'm talking about ..or I get an exceeds capacity error message. Thanks Jerry

I'm converting my table-based layouts to css-positioned divs - but the ONLY reason I'm doing it is because it's *considered* a best practice. I don't really see where anything goes hinky when tables are used - but I'm doing it anyway because the HTML and CSS specs says to reserve tables for tabular data. So as I convert my login widgit to a css thing, I'm saying to myself - hey, this form is most certainly "tabular data" - even if it...

Greetings, I have a report displayed on a screen that anyone in the office can look at. The data on this report will change from time to time. This report has different colors displayed depending on the data. Since I'm using Access '97, I can't do this on a form. What I am doing is "refreshing" this report every 60 seconds. Since Access '97 can't use the timer interval for reports, I have a form that is closing and then reopening my...

I have an unbound grid that is on my form (not created programmatically). I stretched the size to what I think is wide enough to accomodate the 6 columns I will be creating. I plan on making the width wide enough so that you don't have to scroll to the right. I want to know if there is a property to resize the width programmatically in case I add or remove columns. thanks

Is there maybe a trick so that when I make a continuous form, the records fit exactly? Now, without such trick, often the last visible record shows only half and I have to stretch the form manually, and try, and try once more, until all the visible records do fit neatly on my form. thanks for your secrets Michiel

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
