I have a small form with two text boxes:
- User ID
- Password
The form also has two command buttons:
- Login
- Cancel
I would like to set things up so the user can type in his/her ID, click Tab and enter his/her password, then simply press ENTER to login. Right now, when I press ENTER the form sets the focus on the Login button, but I have to press ENTER a second time to execute the click event for that button.
Can this be done?

Sure! In Design View for the form, select the Login Button the goto Properties Sheet - Other and set the Default Property to Yes. Any time the <Enter> key is pressed, no matter where the focus is, the Login Button will fire.

All articles and tutorials I've seen on subject of forms say that if
there's name and value for submit button(input tag with
type="submit"), they'll get submitted along with the rest of the
form...
but I've just noticed (after debugging my perl script for quite a
while :/ ) that it is true only when user clicks on submit, and if
form is submitted via hitting enter you don't get name=value for
submit buttton...

Here's a little test app to demonstrate a problem I'm having.
It creates four buttons, each one with the different FlatStyle types
available. Three of them behave exactly the same way(and the way I'd
anticipate), but the FlatStyle.System one does not.
If you click on any of the buttons, use the enter key, or the
spacebar, they will bring up a messagebox that says "Activate".
Except the FlatStyle.System one, which will bring up _two_...

I'm new to JavaScript and I wrote this code to play with. Oddly, if I
enter text in a box and then press the button, I only get the onChange
event for the text box and not the button's onclick event. But if I
press the button without entering text first, the button click event

one button server control. Users can type in text to search and then
click the button to start the search. I want them to be able to type
in text and then just hit the Enter key instead of having to click the
